About our events
Safe Space Merseyside run Liverpool-based social group events for the transgender and non-binary community. Our socials are mid-week, evenings and in a safe space which is intentionally not a cafe or bar. We have the use of a private room, the venue is wheelchair accessible and a gender-neutral toilet is available. They’re a great way to make new friends!
We aim for a friendly, clique-free atmosphere - there is no pressure to talk. We often have optional craft activities.
Our socials are free and have no obligation to buy food or drinks. You only need to bring your wonderful self.
If you have any questions or concerns about attending, please contact us either on social media or by emailing [email protected].

FAQs
Do you have non-dairy milk?
We tend to have oat milk as well as dairy milk available at the meet-ups. If you have a preference for an alternative, you are welcome to bring some.
Can I bring my own food/snacks?
It’s generally fine to bring your own food to the meet-ups at DoES, but please be conscious of strong odours and be aware that you may need to eat elsewhere if someone in the room has a strong allergy to an ingredient (e.g. nuts).
How do I subscribe to a calendar?
Downloading the .ics file from one of the above links should allow you to add it to your calendar software as a one-off but the events won’t update as we add more. Some software allows you to subscribe to a feed instead and you may find that useful.
