What they said

Liverpool Guild of Students is the students’ union for University of Liverpool students and a registered charity. Working within our charitable objectives, we are committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive space where students can access support, advice, representation and opportunities to build community.

The Guild Advice service offers confidential, non-judgemental advice to all University of Liverpool students.

We recognise the challenges that students can face when exploring and expressing their identity, and we are committed to removing some of those barriers and creating opportunities to give students the freedom to express their identity. Our Gender Expression fund provides financial support for students who identify as trans, non-binary, intersex or gender diverse to access items to enable them to express their gender identity. The fund has supported students by providing items such as binders, but by also creating a safe space for students to express their gender identity without financial or societal implications.

The Guild is home to over 200 societies, a place where students can find their friends, explore shared interests, and build a community; including our @livlgbtplus , @uolbutchsoc, @uoltransnbsoc and @uolivgenlib societies.

Whilst we exist to support our students, we are also home to Union Brew, Guild Shop, the Sphinx Bar and Mountford Hall which are open to the wider public and through our outlets, gigs and events we uphold the same welcoming and inclusive values.

We are proud to work alongside Safe Space Merseyside and pledge our continued commitment to being a safe and inclusive space for our students.
